What is the OPPS mindset?
It’s an acronym that stands for Opportunity, Pause, Position, State your price and shut up
Acknowledge the opportunity to add value or help someone.
Rather than just giving the answer out, this is where you can pause to think about what your offering could be. Sometimes a pause can be one of the most powerful things that we can do whenever we are dealing with clients. A pause actually gives them time to reflect, and we can then see where they’re at in terms of their thinking.
Position how you can help this person. What value can you add? What future vision can you create for someone?
State your price and shut up
Once you’ve positioned your services, what you can do, and how you can implement them, you state your price and you shut up.
