Inland Revenue requires that sufficient authority to act has been obtained before we can link your trust to our tax agency. This authority must state the trust name, trust IRD number, and the position of each signatory.

This must be signed by each trustee of the trust. Use Add Another Signatory below to add each person.

By signing this document you acknowledge:

• We authorise SMYD Accounting / Advisory Limited (tax agent), staff and contractors to link this IRD number to their tax agency and obtain information from Inland Revenue from all channels. 
• The tax agent will link all tax types to ensure full understanding of our tax position. 
• The authority will be ongoing but can be terminated by either party at any time. 
• Linking allows the tax agent to have full access to information held by InlandRevenue and the ability to modify details relating to the tax type of the linkage. 
• Correspondence for linked tax types will be directed either to the online tax agent or the client. 
• We authorise the online tax agent to prepare, submit and sign tax returns on behalf of the client. 
• We authorise communication between IRD and the tax agent via written correspondence, phone, email, fax or any digital platform as appropriate. 
• We authorise you to furnish to any third party, financial information of mine/ours as you see fit that is requested in furtherance of our business activities. 
• We may utilise the services of third parties, including tax pooling intermediaries, from time to time and as separately notified to you to manage your tax affairs. To perform the services, we provide these third parties with access to your data to the extent this is required to perform the services. This requires information being sent to these services providers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
